eDiscovery Analyst


Job Summary: The Litigation & Practice Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day litigation technology needs of assigned cases and projects. This role leverages litigation support tools and eDiscovery best practices to collect, organize, analyze, and produce legal documents and data throughout the discovery process. The Analyst will collaborate closely with attorneys and business professionals, providing technical support and training to ensure effective use of litigation technology and improved legal outcomes.

 

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Apply a thorough understanding of electronic discovery (eDiscovery) best practices throughout all phases of the litigation lifecycle.
  • Utilize analytics and technology-assisted review tools to enhance document review efficiency.
  • Manage the collection and processing of various data types, including mobile devices, messaging platforms (e.g., WhatsApp, SMS), and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Oversee or directly execute all backend aspects of the eDiscovery process, including processing, analytics, and production—both internally and through external vendors.
  • Build and manage electronic databases for document review and production.
  • Set up and manage document review projects, ensuring consistency, defensibility, and compliance with firm policies.
  • Process, manage, edit, and create electronic productions for litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Maintain data integrity during processing, conversion, formatting, importing, and exporting of case materials.
  • Prepare and manage presentation databases; assist with video editing, clip creation, and exhibit annotation.
  • Provide technical training and support to attorneys and staff on litigation support tools, concepts, and workflows.
  • Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and presentations.
  • Support the setup, installation, and operation of courtroom equipment and related technology during hearings or trials.
  • Stay current with developments in litigation support technology, strategies, and automation tools.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to electronic data, litigation databases, and collaboration platforms.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with firm-approved Information Governance and Risk Management policies.
  • Track and document eDiscovery efforts to ensure defensibility and best practice adherence.
  • Travel as needed to support client meetings, hearings, or trials.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in eDiscovery or litigation support.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEDS, RCA, TrialDirector Administrator, or similar preferred.
  • Experience with Relativity and TrialDirector strongly preferred.
  • Law firm or legal department experience a plus.
  • Availability to work extended hours as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of legal and business professionals.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and client service skills.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job duties as described.

Equipment Operated:

This position requires extensive use of a computer and telephone. This position also requires the use of printing, copying, faxing and scanning equipment.

Work Environment:
