UnitedLex is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our litigation and cyber incident response engagements throughout the US. This PM will be responsible for successfully delivering end-to-end client services in a fast-paced, secure environment.

This is a remote position, and we welcome applicants from throughout the United States. Candidates on the West Coast or able to work PST hours are highly preferred.  The compensation range listed is commensurate with those geographies with higher cost of living. Responsibilities

  • Lead and support all project management activities as part of a dedicated team supporting top tiered law firms and corporations, successfully delivering end-to-end client services in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage high impact and timeline driven projects related to the review and extraction of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for client who have undergone a cyber incident/breach.
  • Intelligently discuss and consult with case teams regarding collections, data processing, data hosting, review services, and productions. Coordinates calls with appropriate experts as needed, including collections teams, document review managers, consultants, etc. Drives revenue by introducing services and teams to solve critical client needs.
  • Facilitates client and counsel calls with confidence to instill trust in UnitedLex processes, recommendations, and deliverables. Proactively contacts case team to best serve client needs and to develop relationships for future work. Provides transparent and consistent communication regarding the status of each case to include scope changes, cost changes, delays, risks, and more.
  • Responds to email within 30 minutes during business hours and within 1 hour outside of reasonable business hours.
  • Maintains constant awareness of the activity on assigned cases and proactively prepares other teams for incoming work.
  • Partners with the Document Review Manager to provide consolidated, consistent budgeting and reporting. Ensures communication is collaborative and is oriented towards the client needs, not internal team.
  • Prepares a project intake document and runs intake call with a case team, including but not limited to the explicit determination of timeline, budget, case team members, production, and review requirements.
  • Maintains the project tracker in a state that reflects the current status of the processing work, hosted database, and overall project. Maintains the KM, if applicable, for all current and historical matters.
  • Performs production anomaly checks of documents to be produced, including but not limited to, conflict coding, redactions, privilege, and family breaks. Completes final production deliverable QC and ensures that at least two levels of QC have been performed and documented.
  • Analyzes active cases, works with Program Director (PD) and other Project Managers to assign a back-up during an absence, and communicates coverage plans to the client prior to leaving the office.
  • Mentors and develops less experienced project managers.
  • Fosters positive working relationships with other teams and departments to collaboratively serve clients.
  • Performs quality checks and approves invoices in a timely manner during each billing cycle.
  • Maintain 70 to 80% Billable utilization.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a Project Manager within eDiscovery, Litigation Support, Document Review, or Cyber Incident Response (experience in Cyber Incident Response strongly preferred)
  • Conceptual understanding of options available in processing software and the ability to communicate those options to clients.
  • Experience within Relativity platform (e.g. loading data, administering user permissions, building indices, running search terms, exporting data, running productions, creating and loading DAT files)
  • Experience in performing Early Data Assessment, including: consulting on search term and RegEx refinement, and leveraging analytics tools (e.g. concept clustering, textual near duplicate analysis, predictive coding)

 

  • Relativity Administrator proficiency or RCA preferred.
  • Exceptional and proactive written, electronic, and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional client expectation management and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of project management methodology set forth by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Ability to establish rapport and credibility within the cross-functional organizations and external client stakeholders.  Coordinate work with multi-cultural and multiple time zone teams.

Salary Range
The salary range for this role reflects the range of factors that inform case-by-case compensation decisions including education, experience, training, licensure, certification, and geography as well as the business and organizational needs specific to the role. Compensation ranges may be broad, reflecting flexibility within the budget and title to consider candidates of varied experience. A reasonable estimate of the current annualized compensation range for this role is $110,000 to $135,000/year. Select roles are additionally eligible for Incentive Compensation in the form of our Annual Performance Bonus Program.
