Contract

United States
$60 - $67.50 USD hourly

Description

Our client’s IT Operations team is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to help deliver seamless, secure, and high‑impact technology experiences for their global workforce. In this role, you will administer, support, and help scale their collaboration and productivity application portfolio, with Linear.app as the primary focus. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about automation and integrations, excels at solving hands‑on challenges, and is driven to build solutions that make a lasting impact.

What You'll Do:

● Own day-to-day administration of collaboration and productivity applications (primarily Linear.app), including workspace settings, team management, security controls, and access governance

● Partner with Security and IAM teams on Zero Trust initiatives and SIEM integrations, and own quarterly User Access Reviews (UARs)

● Build self-service Tier 0 support models in Slack and Jira Service Management, while providing Tier 3 support for escalated tickets

● Eliminate workflow bottlenecks by introducing automation solutions, including AI tools (e.g., Glean agents, n8n, Slack workflows) where applicable

● Create and maintain knowledge base articles, SOPs, runbooks, and incident response playbooks

● Follow change management processes for application-wide changes, ensuring proper review, approval, and communication

● Manage integrations with enterprise systems (e.g., Jira, GitHub, Slack) and support data migrations for teams transitioning between applications, including M&A tool consolidations

● Coordinate with application vendors to address security requirements and track feature roadmap items

● Support eDiscovery, compliance, and audit initiatives, and collaborate with Business Systems Analysts to scope new application implementations/integrations

What We Look For In You:

● Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and problem-solve when requirements or processes are undefined

● Understanding of SaaS integrations with identity providers (e.g., Okta), including SSO and SCIM

● Proficiency in automation using APIs and iPaaS solutions; scripting experience (Python or similar) is a plus

● Strong communication skills, with comfort operating in a Slack-first environment

● Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Nice to Have:

● Experience taking ownership of shadow IT applications previously managed by non-technical business units

● Experience integrating AI technologies (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) or connecting AI assistants to enterprise tools using MCP servers for self-service and automation

● Experience in a fast-paced, security-first environment
