What you will do:
- Oversee and manage collection, preservation and processing of data from various devices, applications and network locations using e-discovery software
- Process and stage data in e-discovery software for review and production, including Exterro and Nuix platforms
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to legal team on e-discovery technology and database systems, including assistance with integration of ediscovery systems and processes
- Coordinate software upgrade process: organize resources, lead testing, escalate issues and monitor new features
- Implement and maintain e-discovery software data map, including custodians and data sources, as well as efficient workflows for ediscovery data management
- Maintain consistent communication and coordination with team members to ensure timely completion of project goals and tasks
- Work with IT to identify and maintain corporate data sources
- Work with legal department and IT to define process improvements and further develop the e-discovery process and other legal database systems
- Provide first line technical assistance and guidance to legal team on e-discovery technology and database systems
What you need:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical legal support or IT support
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field)
- Knowledge of corporate email systems, operating systems, network shares, mobile device technology and cloud technology
- Excellent technical computer skills – programming not required
- Understanding of the e-discovery process (EDRM) and corporate ESI, including experience with ediscovery software, AI tools and data analytics
- Ability to perform quality control procedures for all work performed to ensure ediscovery best practices are followed
- Ability to maintain a very high level of confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze information and problem solve
- Strong organizational skills in order to perform multiple tasks
- Familiarity with legal workflows, compliance standards, and data privacy laws.
- Excellent professional, interpersonal, and communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with legal team, IT department and outside vendors
- Motivation to learn new technologies, engage in process improvement and stay updated on industry trends and emerging ediscovery procedures
- Ability to work overtime hours, including nights and/or weekends, when required for a project
