Australia
eDiscovery Analyst

At IAG, we’re ready for you. We're the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand. Our family of brands turns the IAG purpose of making your world a safer place into action by helping everyday Aussies and New Zealanders, supporting their ambitions and making insurance accessible.

Step into a role where you transform complex legal workflows into clear, confident processes that people rely on every day. As a Legal Technology Business Analyst, you’ll help streamline the Proper Officer workflow, covering how we respond to subpoenas, notices and court requests, with full support as you learn the process from start to finish. From there, you’ll redesign and improve it using thoughtful analysis, smart process design and AI enabled enhancements. You’ll also work across our legal tech tools and collaborate closely with a leader who enjoys coaching and developing others. If you enjoy simplifying complexity and creating smoother ways of working, you’ll make an impact from day one.  This is a 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity covering parental leave, offering you the chance to step into meaningful work while one of our team members welcomes a new addition to their family. The role is based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne), with consideration for candidates in other Australian locations who meet the requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate the Proper Officer workflow — triage, information requests and document production — ensuring timely, compliant responses to subpoenas, notices and court orders.
  • Map, prioritise and deliver AI assisted process improvements and automations to reduce manual effort and improve turnaround times.
  • Support our legal tech platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Xakia, Checkbox, IVO, DocuSign, Harvey and,  Relativity) to ensure effective and reliable operations.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements and user stories; collaborate with legal, delivery and support teams for practical, effective solutions.
  • Learn and contribute to the eDiscovery lifecycle (we’ll train and support you): workspace admin, M365 restorations, and review/production activities.
  • Communicate progress, risks and decisions clearly; help embed better ways of working across the team.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in business or systems analysis, plus exposure to legal workflows such as discovery, subpoenas or regulated document processes
  • Curiosity and confidence using AI to simplify and automate workflows; comfortable learning new tools quickly.
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365 (essential) and ideally Xakia, Checkbox, IVO, DocuSign, Harvey or Relativity.
  • Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and stakeholder engagement skills; clear written and verbal communication.
  • Calm under pressure, organised and able to manage time sensitive, confidential matters.
  • Interest in learning eDiscovery — hands on experience welcome but not essential.

What We Offer

  • Boosted superannuation with 13% as standard.
  • 20 days annual leave + 5 days MyLeave (extra leave for what’s important to you).
  • Work from home and many more flexibility options with myFlex.
  • Up to 50% off personal insurance, including home and motor insurance.
  • Partner discounts on private health insurance, tech & appliances, and many more.
  • Industry-leading 20 weeks paid parental leave.
  • Access to LinkedIn Learning, the award-winning IAG Academy, study assistance and secondment opportunities.
