Accountabilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys handling litigation and insurance defense matters.
- Prepare, revise, proofread, and manage pleadings, discovery materials, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Handle electronic filing procedures in both state and federal courts while ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines.
- Maintain case management systems, monitor docket activity, and coordinate scheduling for legal proceedings and case milestones.
- Support e-discovery processes, document review, exhibit preparation, and litigation file organization.
- Coordinate communication with attorneys, court personnel, clients, and external parties while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously with strong attention to detail and accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
- Work independently to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of legal and administrative responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal secretary within a law firm environment.
- Strong background supporting insurance defense and commercial litigation practices.
- Familiarity with Utah State and Federal Court Rules is preferred.
- Proven experience with state and federal e-filing systems, docket management, and litigation support processes.
- Knowledge of e-discovery procedures, document review workflows, and exhibit preparation.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain high levels of accuracy under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
- Strong ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and legal teams.
- Professional demeanor with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Availability to work business hours aligned with the Mountain Standard Time zone for remote candidates.
