Overview

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, an AmLaw 60 firm, is seeking a Legal Recruiting & Development Coordinator to support the Firm’s attorney and summer associate recruiting efforts in our Columbia office. This role is essential in delivering a high‑quality experience for candidates, attorneys, law school partners, and internal stakeholders while helping drive firmwide recruiting initiatives across multiple offices.  * NO AGENCIES PLEASE *

A Day in the Life

In this role, you will serve as an important point of contact for candidates, guiding them through each stage of the hiring process while ensuring they receive timely communication and a positive experience. Your day often includes coordinating interviews across multiple offices, managing candidate data in iCIMS, conducting resume reviews, preparing offer letters, and keeping all recruiting workflows moving efficiently through detailed checklists and process tracking. You will play a central role in planning and executing the Summer Associate Program, overseeing logistics, scheduling, and events that support attorney engagement and candidate development. You will also manage both Fall and Spring OCI processes across several offices, building strong relationships with law school career services and ensuring seamless scheduling and candidate flow. In addition to routine recruiting work, you'll collaborate closely with team members, support special projects, plan social and professional events, and consistently provide high‑level customer service to attorneys, staff, and candidates in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

We Know You

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in law‑firm recruiting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. You are someone who communicates proactively, collaborates well across teams, and can confidently keep recruiting workflows moving with limited oversight. A background in attorney or law‑school recruiting—especially OCI and Summer Associate Program coordination—will help you thrive in this role, along with a high level of comfort with technology and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in legal recruiting or exposure to a law firm environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with OCI, Summer Associate programs, or multi‑office recruiting coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with recruiting systems such as iCIMS and general comfort with Microsoft Office preferred.
