The Opportunity:

Exciting entry level position supporting the Department of Justice on critical matters. This is an opportunity for you to add to your skillset providing assistance in a litigation support capacity. You will also gain invaluable experience using automated litigation support and assisting in the use of eDiscovery tools. You will learn in a hands-on, immersive environment, which demands a commitment to both individual tasks and the overall mission of the Section.

Responsibilities:

- The Legal Document Management Technician (DMA) role works closely with the USAO attorneys under the direction of the Project Supervisor, or Project Manager.

- Performs tasks while complying with established procedures.

- Retrieves and copies case file materials.

- Creates witness binders.

- May assist in the preparation of deposition and trial exhibits.

- Enters data on-line to case files and other databases.

- May perform proofreading, editing and correcting of OCR'd text files.

- Conducts retrieval and blow back of documents and digital image media, as well as tabbing, numbering, labeling, assembling of documents.

- Fills out log sheets and reports on task progress.

- Prepares documents for image scanning and performs other document collection related activities, including document screening and labeling of files to be scanned.

- Performs simple database searches.

- Performs quality control on the work of peers in all of these areas.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

- Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure extremely important.

- Must be able to read and follow instructions.

- Must be able to understand tasks, task objectives, and the context of the task in the litigation support effort as a whole.

- Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete tasks correctly (e.g. where instructions are not explicit or appear to be contrary to the task objective).

- Must have typing/keyboarding skills and good communication skills.

- Must be knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems.

Desired Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree preferred.

- Litigation support experience valued.

Pay Range:

This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.
 

Minimum Required Hourly Wage:

$20.24
