Elam & Burke, P.A. is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our dynamic and fast-paced Civil Litigation and/or Workers' Compensation practice. This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative legal environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a legal assistant in civil litigation
  • Workers' compensation experience preferred, but not required
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a high-pressure setting

Key Responsibilities

  • Professionally manage client communications while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Coordinate and maintain attorney calendars, including court appearances and filing deadlines
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manage electronic and physical case files
  • Provide support across practice areas as needed

Additional Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, transcription, and electronic filing systems
  • Familiarity with legal case management software and e-discovery tools
