What’s unique about this role?
The DevOps Lead will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in designing, building, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and system monitoring solutions. This role will collaborate closely with development, IT, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and scalability of systems, focusing on performance, security, and automation.
What will this person do?
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Define and implement the strategic vision for DevOps practices and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure DevOps solutions align with business goals.
- Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines for automated deployment of applications.
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes to minimize manual intervention and reduce risk.
- Implement version control, branching strategies, and deployment strategies for various environments (e.g., dev, staging, production).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Biceps and configuration Management tools such as Ansible, chef etc.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and ensure scalability, performance, and security.
- Manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestrate deployments using Kubernetes, ECS, or other orchestration tools.
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to track the performance and health of infrastructure and applications (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, EFK/ELK Stack, Splunk).
- Implement proactive incident response practices, including on-call schedules and post-mortem analyses.
- Ensure high availability and resilience of systems through redundancy, failover strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
- Work with the security team to ensure that all systems and processes are compliant with security best practices (e.g., SSL, IAM, network security).
- Implement security controls such as vulnerability scanning, patch management, and access controls within the DevOps pipelines.
- Act as a liaison between development, IT, and operations teams to ensure smooth coordination and implementation of DevOps practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational processes.

- Expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Podman) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS, AKS).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Hands-on experience with centralized logging and monitoring tools (EFK/ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic).
- Knowledge of security best practices, including identity and access management, secrets management, and vulnerability management.
- Experience leading or mentoring DevOps teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and possess time management skills to meet schedules with different shifts including weekends and late night/hours

- Azure Database Administrator Associate certification is a plus.
- eDiscovery and relativity experience is an added advantage
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud operations, or software development with a strong focus on automation and infrastructure management.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Graduate/post-graduate degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience in agile development environments and working with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices.
- Good knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MSSQL) and knowledge about NoSQL databases.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
- Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
