Information Risk & Compliance Sr Manager

Trinity Industries is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager, Information Governance, Risk, and Compliance (IGRC) to lead and execute the company's information governance, records management, compliance, and cybersecurity support functions across its Mexico operations. This is a senior individual contributor and people leader role that serves as the primary in-country authority and trusted point of contact for IGRC and Information Risk Management (IRM) matters across all operating locations in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly manage IGRC employees located at separate operating sites, providing day-to-day direction, performance oversight, professional development, and accountability.
  • Serve as the primary and trusted point of contact for IGRC matters at all Mexico operating locations, building credible relationships with site leadership, operations teams, and functional departments.
  • Represent the IGRC function in cross-functional meetings, site leadership discussions, and communications with senior stakeholders, translating complex regulatory and compliance concepts into actionable business guidance.
  • Partner with the Sr. Director, IGRC and CISO to ensure in-country initiatives are aligned with enterprise strategy, priorities, and risk tolerance.
  • Model and promote a culture of accountability, data stewardship, and compliance awareness across all levels of the organization in Mexico.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in information governance, information security, records management, compliance, data privacy, or related disciplines, with at least 2 years in a people leadership or senior individual contributor role.
  • Native fluency in Spanish and strong professional fluency in English (written and verbal) are required; this role involves regular communication with English-speaking enterprise stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a matrix organization and coordinating with geographically distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of Mexican data privacy law (LFPDPPP) and familiarity with INAI regulatory guidance.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or regulated industry environment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise GRC platforms and document management systems.
  • Experience supporting legal hold and e-discovery processes, including chain of custody management.
