OVERVIEW

Location: Hybrid -Preferred Hanscom AFB, MA or Montgomery, AL

As a GovSlack Administrator, you will be responsible for administering, configuring, securing, and maintaining the Cloud One program’s GovSlack environment within AWS GovCloud. You will ensure the platform remains compliant with federal and DoD security requirements while supporting secure collaboration across government, contractor, and mission partner teams.  

You will manage user access, permissions, workspace governance, data retention, DLP controls, eDiscovery, legal holds, Slack Connect, and endpoint policies. In this role, you will also optimize channel structures, workspace configurations, and collaboration workflows while partnering with cybersecurity, IT, legal, and program stakeholders to maintain a secure, scalable, and compliant GovSlack environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer and maintain GovSlack in a secure AWS GovCloud environment.  

  • Maintain compliance with FedRAMP High, DoD IL4, ITAR, and applicable security requirements.  

  • Manage users, groups, roles, permissions, and privileged access.  

  • Configure and enforce data retention, DLP, eDiscovery, and legal hold policies.  

  • Administer Slack Connect for secure external collaboration.  

  • Manage workspace and channel lifecycle policies.  

  • Support identity, access, SSO, and enterprise authentication requirements.  

  • Configure mobile device and endpoint management policies.  

  • Perform security reviews, audits, and governance assessments.  

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, governance documentation, and user guides.  

  • Troubleshoot platform, access, integration, and configuration issues.  

  • Provide training and technical guidance to users and stakeholders.  

  • Partner with cybersecurity and program teams to ensure GovSlack remains compliant and mission ready.  

  • Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions  

  • Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded  

  • Identify and forward to leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area  

  • Participate in growth efforts as requested  

  • Ensure all contractual deliverables are met/exceeded to the customer's satisfaction  

  • Complete personal PDP and attend Staff Meeting and Storytime (with camera on)  

  • Build productive and positive professional relationships with clients within your program  

  • Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract‑specific LCAT and requirements  

  • Perform other related duties as assigned 


KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance 
Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience. Enterprise Slack administration experience. Minimum 1 year supporting GovSlack or another government cloud platform. 

  • Experience managing enterprise user access, permissions, and security controls.  

  • Experience with retention policies, DLP, eDiscovery, and governance.  

  • Experience supporting secure external collaboration.  

  • Experience operating within federal or DoD security environments.  

  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skill 

  • DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification  

  • At least one cloud certification   


PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience supporting large federal programs and advising government stakeholders on Atlassian or collaboration-platform best practices  

  • Experience monitoring Atlassian infrastructure hosted on AWS  

  • Experience developing documentation, training materials, and architectural diagrams for enterprise users  

  • Experience administering Active Directory
