Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position

  • Proven experience in data analytics, particularly working with large and complex datasets.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and Python for data extraction, manipulation, statistical modelling, and process automation.
  • Experience developing automated workflows and scripts using APIs, including RESTful interfaces.
  • Strong skills in data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or LookerStudio to create impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Apache Hive, Spark, Presto) and practical knowledge of Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Natural Language Processing in investigative contexts is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Deliver hands-on data extraction, transformation, and analysis to identify anomalies and patterns critical to forensic investigations.
  • Develop, test, and execute robust analytical scripts and automated workflows to support compliance and investigative projects.
  • Create clear, insightful dashboards and visual reports that effectively communicate findings to clients and project teams.
  • Collaborate closely with senior and junior colleagues to ensure high-quality deliverables, meet deadlines, and contribute to client presentations.

What type of work will I be doing?

  • Data Analysis & Scripting (50%): Extracting, transforming, and analysing large datasets; developing and running analytical scripts.
  • Data Visualisation (20%): Building dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Project Support & Collaboration (20%): Managing assigned tasks, quality assurance, and assisting in client-facing deliverables.
  • Continuous Learning & Innovation (10%): Exploring new technologies such as AI/ML applications and process automation to enhance forensic investigations.

Where is this role based?

This role is based in Deloitte Ireland, with a flexible working model that includes a hybrid approach combining office presence and remote work.
