Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Enterprise Applications Microsoft 365 (M365) Administrator II to Senior Engineer is a technical professional responsible for the design, deployment, management, and optimization of the M365 ecosystem. This role ensures secure, efficient, and reliable services across M365.

An ideal candidate is a technical professional who is proactive, security-focused problem-solver with deep expertise in Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Power BI, Teams, and Intune, adept at automation (PowerShell/Python) and identity management, who delivers secure, efficient cloud solutions while providing excellent user support and staying ahead of platform changes, bridging on-premises needs with cloud innovation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Platform Management & Administration: Administer and optimize M365 services, including Exchange Online (mail flow, groups), SharePoint (permissions, sites), Teams, OneDrive, Intune and Power BI. This involves tenant management, and service integration.
  • Identity & Access Management: Administer security and compliance policies within Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, and Zero Trust Principals. Manage Identity and Access via Azure Active Directory.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and manage M365 security and compliance solutions using Microsoft Purview (DLP, eDiscovery, retention, sensitivity labels, auditing) and Microsoft Defender to protect organizational data and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripting and leverage the Microsoft Graph API for automation of administrative tasks, reporting and integrations with other systems.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and optimize configuration. 
  • Project Management & Documentation: Participate and/or lead technical projects such as migration, rollout of new features (like Copilot) and the creation/maintenance of technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks for collaboration tools.
  • Integrate M365 with third-party applications and workflow.
  • Assist in adoption campaigns and change management initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience supporting and engineering Microsoft enterprise technology, implementing enhancements and anticipating needs.
  • Deep understanding of the M365 suite, Azure Cloud Infrastructure, networking concepts, and hybrid identity solutions (Azure AD Connect). 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and technical/non-technical stakeholders.
  • Degree in technical (STEM) field and two years’ experience in technical role preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Microsoft Certifications are highly desirable.

Degree in technical (STEM) field or one year’s experience in technical role preferred
