Do you want to help build some of the largest and most consequential enterprise and customer technology systems in the world? Join Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization. IS&T is the engine behind everything Apple does for customers and for the people who build for them. It’s Apple’s central nervous system. Supporting 2.5 billion active Apple devices, processing billions of secure transactions, and keeping the technology that defines modern life running flawlessly, IS&T makes the impossible feel effortless.Do you love building solutions to handle global complexity and immense scale? Imagine what you could do here.
As the Corporate Mail Engineering Program Manager you will hold the integrated delivery plan
for our corporate mail programs, and you will lead the changes that reach end users. You'll
work across engineering organizations that don't share a reporting line, and you will be the
person who makes their schedules add up. You'll partner with infrastructure, identity, and
IT stakeholders on change windows and user communication, keep an honest risk picture in
front of leadership, and escalate early rather than explain late.
Own the integrated delivery plan across platform, tooling, and service workstreams: scope, milestones, dependencies, and release readiness. Plan and lead large-scale changes to a production service — rollout design, change, windows, go/no-go criteria, rollback paths, and day-of command. Drive cross-organizational dependencies to closure with partner engineering, infrastructure, and identity teams. Maintain the program's risk register: identify risks proactively, quantify impact, own mitigations through to resolution, and put escalations in front of leadership while there is still room to act. Provide clear, timely, and objective communication, including regular program status and critical issues to engineering leads and executives — the same facts, tailored for each audience. Own end-user readiness with IT and support stakeholders: communications, support handoffs, and post-change triage. Partner with Privacy, Security, and Legal on the controls and compliance work that gate each phase. Establish the operating rhythm — planning cadence, decision log, and reporting — and keep it useful rather than ceremonial.
3+ years of experience in program or project management leading highly cross-functional software delivery. Demonstrated ownership of a large-scale deployment or production change program affecting a substantial user base, including the change management around it.
Working knowledge of email standards and technologies such as IMAP, SMTP, JMAP, MIME, DKIM/SPF/DMARC, or comparable messaging infrastructure depth. Experience managing incident response, service health, or operational readiness programs for live production services. Background in enterprise-scale rollout: pilot design, wave planning, site coordination, and support enablement. Experience partnering with Privacy, Security, and Legal teams to launch compliant features, including e-discovery, data residency, or records retention. Familiarity with Claude Code and agentic development workflows. Fluency with modern work-tracking and program-management tooling. Track record of coordinating teams that do not report to you, across organizations with different cadences and priorities. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill a complex technical situation into the few things a decision-maker needs. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently manage complex objectives in ambiguous conditions.
