Job Summary


This position will participate in the implementation, administration, support, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 solutions, with primary responsibility for Messaging Services (Exchange Online) and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
The role will support end users during deployments, migrations, feature rollouts, and operational changes while collaborating with business stakeholders, project teams, security, compliance, data privacy, and digital workplace teams. The individual will help evaluate, deliver, govern, and optimize Microsoft 365 and AI-powered workplace solutions.
The role requires strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365, enterprise messaging, AI enablement, automation, security, and user adoption, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

 

Key Responsibilities
Messaging & Collaboration Services
• Implement, administer, and support Exchange Online and related Microsoft 365 messaging services.
• Support messaging migrations, integrations, feature rollouts, and service changes.
• Manage and troubleshoot mail flow, connectors, transport rules, message tracing, and delivery issues.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot email security gateways and controls, including Mimecast, Proofpoint, Cisco IronPort, or equivalent solutions.
• Troubleshoot SMTP, DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC issues.
• Support Legal Hold, retention, eDiscovery, and compliance-related requirements across Microsoft 365.
• Monitor service health, resolve incidents and problems, and coordinate escalation to vendors when required.
• Assist with production deployment planning, operational documentation, and ongoing application support.
Microsoft 365 Copilot Administration & Governance
• Support the deployment and lifecycle management of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Manage Copilot licensing, provisioning, access, and administration processes.
• Monitor adoption, usage analytics, service trends, and operational reporting.
• Support AI governance and responsible AI initiatives in collaboration with security, compliance, data privacy, risk, and business stakeholders.
• Assist with readiness assessments, pilot planning, controlled rollouts, and change management.
• Promote effective prompting practices and help develop user guidance and enablement materials.
• Evaluate new Copilot capabilities and coordinate testing, validation, communication, and enterprise rollout activities.
• Provide technical support for Copilot-related incidents, user queries, and service requests.
Security, Compliance & Data Protection
• Support Microsoft Purview capabilities, including Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, sensitivity labels, retention, audit, and eDiscovery.
• Query transaction logs, audit logs, and security logs to support investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams during incident investigations and risk reviews.
• Ensure messaging and Copilot services align with applicable enterprise security, privacy, compliance, and governance requirements.
Automation & Integration
• Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Power Automate, Logic Apps, and Azure Automation.
• Automate license management, provisioning, reporting, and recurring administrative processes.
• Create operational dashboards, reports, and data-driven insights for service management.
• Support integrations between Microsoft 365 and approved third-party platforms.
User Adoption & Business Enablement
• Conduct discovery sessions and requirements workshops with business stakeholders.
• Support training, awareness, adoption campaigns, and stakeholder communications.
• Create and maintain knowledge articles, user guides, support documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Analyze support trends and recommend opportunities for service and process improvement.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for Microsoft 365 messaging and Copilot services.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of total experience in Microsoft 365, enterprise messaging, workplace technology, or related services.
• Hands-on experience supporting Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 services.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot deployment, administration, adoption, support, or governance is preferred.
• Experience working in an enterprise environment with service-management, security, compliance, and stakeholder processes.

Technical Skill Set

Microsoft 365 - Exchange Online; Microsoft Entra ID; Microsoft Teams; SharePoint Online; OneDrive for Business; Microsoft 365 admin portals.
Copilot & AI - Microsoft 365 Copilot; Copilot usage and adoption analytics; prompt engineering concepts; generative AI fundamentals; responsible AI principles.
Security & Compliance - Microsoft Purview; eDiscovery; Legal Hold; retention; Data Loss Prevention; sensitivity labels; audit and compliance management.
Messaging & Email Security - SMTP; DNS; SPF; DKIM; DMARC; message trace; mail-flow analysis; email security gateways.
Automation & Monitoring - PowerShell; Microsoft Graph API; Power Automate; Logic Apps; Azure Automation; Azure Log Analytics; Kusto Query Language; basic Python scripting is an advantage.
Service Management - ITIL processes; incident, problem, change, request, and knowledge management.

Preferred Certifications
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or an equivalent Microsoft 365 certification.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications or applied skills in Microsoft 365 Copilot, security, compliance, or Power Platform.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
