eDiscovery Analyst

Summary

The eDiscovery and Practice Support Analyst provides technical support for processing data requests to the department including: database creation, imports and exports of data, image management, troubleshooting of load files, and DeNisting, DeDuping, Culling, and Filtering of ESI for a suite of eDiscovery and practice support system tools.  This position also performs quality assurance on finalized productions as needed and handles archiving of Relativity databases.

Required Education & Experience

  • Associate degree required, preferably in technology and/or legal studies (such as paralegal or litigation support certification).
  • Minimum of 4 years legal experience with a law firm or litigation support experience with a vendor.
  • Proficiency with Windows 10 & Microsoft Office.
  • Experience processing data with knowledge of Relativity.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Law Firm experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Data Management and Archiving (85%)
    • Manage litigation databases and network drives, including creation, updating, and tracking.
    • Import/Export data.
    • Troubleshoot load files.
    • Utilize administrative tools within Relativity to monitor and manage firm utilization of hosting storage for Relativity workspaces.
    • Manipulation of raw data.
    • Archiving Relativity databases.
  • Quality Assurance (5%)
    • Assist with performing quality control checks for finalized productions as needed.
    • Perform quality assurance analysis on all new databases.
  • General and Administrative (10%)
    • Analyze and test new and updated versions of eDiscovery and practice support software applications and recommend solutions to issues and alternative procedures upon request.
    • Ensure the eDiscovery and Practice Support Department's data and records are organized and accessible.
    • Diary and report all client related time to the appropriate client-matter number on a timely basis in accordance with Firm policies.
    • Backup the eDiscovery and Practice Support Specialist as needed when the specialist is out of the office or otherwise unavailable.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  While performing the responsibilities of the position, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the person in this position will encounter.
