Position Summary:

The eDiscovery Analyst will consult with legal teams and clients in evaluating, budgeting and recommending strategic solutions to electronic discovery.  This position will collaborate with legal teams and clients to define and execute the analysis, processing, review and production strategies for matters. At this time, candidates who would work in the following states will not be considered for this role: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, MA, ME, MI, MD, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, and WA.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage multiple matters from transition to archival while keeping team leadership informed of status, potential project risks or pending issues.  This includes i) initiating a project, ii) conducting needs assessments, iii) determining and executing processing, review and production requirements for a matter, iv) establishing and maintaining repositories, v) preparing productions, vi) maintaining project budgets and deadlines, and vii) communicating with legal teams and clients regarding status.  
  • Provide guidance, budgeting and recommendations to legal teams and clients on the collection, analysis, processing, review, quality control, output deliverables and data management for electronic discovery.
  • Coordinate the details of e-discovery projects from inception to completion, including data collection, analysis, processing, review, quality control, output deliverables and data management.
  • Convert, process, load and produce electronic discovery documents and data.
  • Develop strategic and tactical project plans with the legal teams and participate in their execution.
  • Use critical thinking and trouble-shooting abilities to formulate cost effective solutions for clients.
  • Lead and/or utilize team, department or company resources to meet the needs of a project through the communication of work direction and appropriate delegation, monitoring and inspection of tasks.
  • Educate legal teams and clients on e-discovery issues, systems and processes.
  • Test and evaluate new technologies and upgrades.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Detailed knowledge of the concepts, principles, management and processing of electronically stored information (ESI) as they relate to legal matters, including the use of various ESI management and review tools and applications such as Everlaw, Viewpoint, and OPUS2
  • Knowledge of the principles and concepts of project management
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics solutions
  • Knowledge of assisted review/predictive coding cases
  • Analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to proactively and independently resolve complex issues  
  • Ability to effectively and adeptly communicate (verbally and in writing) externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidence  
  • Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities, and resolving issues proactively 
  • Sense of urgency
  • Outstanding customer service skills 
  • Ability to set expectations
  • Knowledge of client IT systems including email formats, social media, back-up systems, mobile devices and databases

Desirable But Not Essential:

  • Everlaw, and/or ACEDs certification  
  • Knowledge of FRCP, industry trends and case law
  • Project management experience

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in similar field.
  • 2 - 3 years' experience in e-discovery consulting in the legal field preferred.
  • Certifications in any litigation technology software preferred.

The expected pay scale for this position is $60,000.00-$90,000.00 and represents our good faith estimate of the starting rate of pay at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will depend on factors such as your qualifications, relevant experience, education, work location, and market conditions.
