The Director of Medical Record Review will be responsible for leading, managing, and strategizing departmental operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, precise medical summaries. The role demands strong leadership to drive innovation, optimize workflows, maintain compliance with industry standards, and meet client expectations. To also support and strategize potential future expansions and increase domain knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction
- Drive innovation through technology adoption and process improvement
- Oversee end-to-end processes of medical summary preparation
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and compliance with regulations
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and performance metrics
- Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their requirements and ensuring service excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service offerings
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure smooth operations
- Oversee audits and quality control measures to ensure medical records are complete, accurate, and timely
Experience
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare processes, and medical documentation
- Expertise in medical record analysis, summarization techniques, and industry best practices
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in healthcare documentation
- Proficiency in using medical summary software and tools
- Proven track record of success and extensive experience in the delivery of Medical Review
- Demonstrated success in defining, tracking and communicating internal and business focused metrics
- Experience of coaching, developing and mentoring direct reports and ensuring processes are in place to develop team members
- Ability to continuously improve service levels

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (MBBS), Nursing, or related healthcare field
- Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or equivalent (preferred)
Additional Qualifications
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) or medical record analysis (preferred)
- Proficiency in healthcare regulations such as HIPAA or similar standards
- Training in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies (desirable)
