The ideal Data Base Engineer will be able to work with stakeholders and engineers without skipping a beat. This person should have a passion for data quality, reliable reporting, and creating robust solutions.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
- Data Intelligence & Analysis:
- Study and understand the companyβs business processes and applications, including their effect on data and reporting, and apply the knowledge gained in designing data warehouse objects and reports.
- Strong SQL skills, T-SQL preferred.
- Building reports, adding new fields, creating Business Objects filters, measures, and other solutions. Leveraging MS SQL Server.
- Dimensional modeling for new solutions that meet the business needs.
- Creating dashboard proof-of-concepts that elevate data and business intelligence using either PowerBI or Excel.
- Technical writing skills, supporting both engineering and user facing documentation.
Collaboration:
- Driving the technical requirement gathering process by working with stakeholders.
- Assist data warehouse users with leveraging the various solutions available.
- Working with peers to find the right solution to any data challenge.
- Occasionally responsible for:
- Supporting ETL processes that involves error and reconciliation handling, utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Performs capacity planning, supporting, trouble
Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experiencerequired
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- 2 - 4 years of software testing experience
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Diligent and meticulous
Other Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with JIRA Software
- Proficiency with Relativity preferred
- EDRM awareness preferred
- Strong computer skills and relational databases knowledge
- Experience with Git, Kibana, LINQ pad, T-SQL
- Experience with data manipulation in text editors
