What’s unique about this role?

The Data Scientist II will play a crucial role in developing and delivering the next generation of eDiscovery intelligence products. They will work closely with the development team to implement accurate data models and scalable systems for real-time/near real-time analytics, and incorporate NLP and document classification technology to deliver predictive intelligence to customers. The Data Scientist II will apply advanced machine learning and statistical techniques to generate actionable outcomes, and solve complex business problems in an agile and collaborative environment. They will be a key contributor to the company's product line, focusing on accuracy, scalability, and predictability.


What will this person do?

  • Design and build highly accurate machine learning models for the next generation of eDiscovery intelligence products
  • Contribute to the engineering of scalable systems for real-time/near real-time analytics for existing and new products, and incorporate new technology and tools to deliver predictive intelligence to customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data models that drive predictability, solutions, and analytics for eDiscovery intelligence products, and apply advanced machine learning and statistical techniques to generate actionable outcomes
  • Develop insights to support the growth of the product line, determine appropriate statistical and machine learning algorithms, and provide technical recommendations on buy vs. build decisions for different components of the data analytics infrastructure.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field, with strong academic background in machine learning and statistics. Alternatively, equivalent work experience of 3-5 years or a Ph.D. in a related field may be considered.
  • Proven experience of 3-5 years in developing and implementing advanced machine learning models using programming languages and database systems. Alternatively, Ph.D. graduates may have relevant experience in their research area.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical audience
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, solve complex business problems, and deliver value for the company in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in statistics, machine learning, and predictive modeling, with expertise in R or Python and SQL databases
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing complex data models using statistical and machine learning techniques, conducting exploratory data analysis, and testing and validating models
  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.
