As a Legal Services Data Collection Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Legal and Compliance teams by ensuring the effective, timely, and secure handling of critical company information. Accountabilities In this role, you will:

  • Execute standardized data collection procedures to support lawsuits, internal investigations, and compliance requirements.
  • Organize workload to efficiently manage multiple, sometimes competing requests.
  • Process, transfer, and maintain collected data in line with legal requirements and team protocols.
  • Prepare clear, concise documentation of procedures and outcomes.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders (project managers, attorneys, compliance investigators), communicating updates, issues, or delays.
  • Define eDiscovery playbook requirements with business and IT resources.
  • Escalate technical issues to management and partner with IT/cloud providers to resolve collection and transfer challenges.

Key tasks include

  • Use Microsoft Purview, EnCase, Cellebrite, and command-line utilities to collect data from Microsoft 365 Exchange, company shared drives, mobile devices, HR and finance systems, and other repositories.
  • Track and document all steps with complete handoffs for downstream legal review or compliance investigations.
  • Assist with normalization, extraction, and organization of data and metadata for review platforms such as Relativity and Nuix Discover.

Essential skills/experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (computer science, information technology, engineering, data management, law, or related).
  • 2+ years in investigations, eDiscovery, legal technology, forensic collections, cybersecurity, or related technical fields.
  • Understanding of key eDiscovery concepts, including metadata extraction and use.
  • Technical background in eDiscovery through education and/or experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to execute and document technical procedures accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and appropriately escalate obstacles.
  • Solid written and verbal English communication.
  • Demonstrable ability to quickly master new software and digital tools.
  • Experience working effectively as part of a global team across time zones.
  • Analytical approach and sound judgment regarding data integrity and security.

Desirable skills/experience

  • Work history in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare.
  • Expertise or strong familiarity with Relativity and/or Nuix Discover (formerly Ringtail).
  • Ability to create and run SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Prior experience with legal technology.
