Job Summary:
The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for the administration, security, and operational oversight of STA’s cybersecurity and infrastructure platforms. The role plays a critical part in supporting IT transformation initiatives and ensuring the security, stability, and continuous improvement of STA’s technology environment across cloud and on-premises systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Systems Administration & Infrastructure Security
• Administer and secure enterprise infrastructure across:
o Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
o Active Directory / Entra ID
o AWS (as applicable)
• Manage identity, access, and authentication controls (MFA, conditional access)
• Maintain system hardening, patching, and configuration baselines
• Support backup, archiving, and recovery platforms including AppRiver
• Support LAN/WAN, server architecture, and core network infrastructure security
Technical Support & IT Service Management
• Act as escalation point for cybersecurity and infrastructure issues
• Manage and resolve tickets within FreshService
• Support internal employees and IT operations through Service Desk integration
• Provide L2/L3 support for:
o Identity and access issues
o Endpoint and device security
o Cloud and email security platforms
o Create and maintain technical documentation and self-service content
Email Security, Archiving & Data Protection
• Manage email security platforms including:
o Microsoft Defender for Email
o Abnormal Security
o AppRiver archive and protection
• Respond to phishing, spoofing, and business email compromise events
• Support data retention, compliance, and eDiscovery processes
• Maintain strong email security posture across the enterprise
IT Projects, Transformation & Continuous Improvement
• Support IT transformation and security improvement initiatives
• Participate in discovery, design, and implementation of solutions
• Identify and recommend improvements to systems, workflows, and processes
• Automate operational and security processes where possible
• Stay current on emerging cybersecurity and infrastructure technologies
• Maintain vendor certifications and continuously expand technical expertise
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Preferred certifications: Azure (AZ-104, AZ-500), Security+ / CySA+ / CISSP, CrowdStrike or Fortinet security vendor certifications
