Job DetailsJob Location: Los Angeles Office - Los Angeles, CA 90017Salary Range: $180,000.00 - $230,000.00 Salary/yearBuchalter is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3 - 5 years of experience in complex commercial and business litigation at a large, preferably national law firm. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in sophisticated litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and fraud cases.  Specific experience with consumer class action defense and/or healthcare litigation is preferred, but not required.

 

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a strong background in litigation practice, excellent legal research and writing skills, experience handling e-discovery issues and document productions, and an overall track record of high-quality work. A degree from a top fifty law school is preferred but not required. We seek someone who is hardworking, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and who demonstrates exceptional analytical abilities. Must be admitted to the State Bar of California.

 

Responsibilities will include drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, assisting with discovery (including e-discovery), and supporting trial preparation under the guidance of senior attorneys.

Pay Scale: The reasonably expected pay scale for this position is $180-$230k, with bonus potential of up to $106,000.  This is an employer estimate and the salary offered within that range, and the potential for bonus and bonus amount, will depend on candidate’s years of practice and experience and performance.
