Trueline is seeking a Business Litigation Associate (2-7 years) to join their Los Angeles office. This role offers exposure to high volume commercial litigation, opportunities to work directly with clients and senior attorneys, and a strong environment for growth within a recognized business litigation practice.
Must Haves as the Business Litigation Associate:
- 2-7 years of litigation experience with a focus on general commercial/business litigation.
- Bar admission in California.
- Strong academic credentials and demonstrated excellence in legal research and writing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work as a collaborative team member.
- Exposure to depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation matters.
What Youβll Do as the Business Litigation Associate:
- Manage and support a diverse docket of commercial litigation matters, including depositions, pre-trial motions, and trial preparation.
- Collaborate with the business litigation team to handle discovery, motion practice, drafting pleadings, and client correspondence.
- Assist in fact development, legal research and writing, and strategy sessions with senior attorneys and clients.
- Engage directly with clients and external counsel under senior supervision, contributing to the delivery of outstanding litigation results.
Nice to Haves as the Business Litigation Associate:
- Judicial clerkship experience.
- Experience in high stakes or complex commercial litigation matters (e.g., fiduciary duty, shareholder disputes, business torts).
- Prior work with in house eDiscovery, legal project management, or alternative fee structures.
- Interest or experience in industries such as financial services, tech, real estate or closely held business disputes.
