Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst I role plays a key role in supporting the business with data-driven insights through reporting and analysis. This is an entry-level position where they assist in building and maintaining dashboards, pulling data for ad-hoc analysis, and supporting business stakeholders by transforming data into actionable insights and contributing to the company's reporting ecosystem. They work closely with the analytics engineering team to ensure that the data models and reports used are reliable and accurate. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn and grow in the field of business intelligence.
What You'll Do
- Data Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business initiatives and decision-making
- Data Maintenance and Reporting: Support data pipeline management activities, including data extraction and transformation processes and assist in the development and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight to support informed decision making within the organization. Additionally, handle ad-hoc reporting requests to address specific analytical needs as they arise.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborates with stakeholders across the organization to understand data needs, gather reporting requirements and share insights from data analyses.
- Process Improvements: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and automation. Document processes and findings to contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
Who You Are
- 0-2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working with relational databases
- Experience working with visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI)
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C# or Java
- Experience developing data pipelines using dbt
- Proficient with SQL and BI tools like Excel, Amazon QuickSight (preferable)
- Foundational knowledge of data modeling
Even Better If You Have...
- Experience with analytics in a SaaS organization
- Experience preparing board decks and other high-visibility meeting materials
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical findings to a non-technical audience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy and eagerness to learn
