As part of our strategic growth and commitment to fostering collaboration and operational excellence, we are transitioning to a hybrid working model across North America. We are establishing offices in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York City, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Raleigh, and Toronto to serve as key operational hubs, and we are actively seeking talented individuals to join our team in this exciting new phase.
This position is located in our Denver office. Candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance, as this role requires on-site presence at least three days per week. This hybrid approach enables us to build a collaborative and innovative work environment while maintaining the flexibility that supports both productivity and work-life balance.
Overview: As a Business Analyst at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with legal stakeholders to uncover high-impact Gen AI use cases (e.g., contract analysis, legal research automation, compliance monitoring)
Leverage AI tools (Copilot, Devin, Claude) to assist in the creation of requirements, product/market fit analysis, use case development and other job duties
Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Convert our customers business needs into clear, actionable specifications for engineering teams
Develop User Acceptance Critieria
Perform Feasibility and ROI Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analyses, build business cases, and assess the viability of Gen AI initiatives
Workflow Definitions: Analyze current legal workflows and identify areas for product development using automation or AI Agents
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between legal teams, AI engineers, and product managers to ensure alignment and clarity
Success Metrics: Define KPIs and track performance
Documentation: Create detailed business requirements, process maps, user stories and other artifacts to support agile development cycles
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any related field.
3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in an AI-first environment
Strong communicator able to talk to internal employees as well as customers
Familiarity with Generative AI technologies (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, AI Agents).
Strong understanding of legal processes and terminology.
Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Word, Excel, or similar.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Must have a passion for building great products that users love.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with fast-paced, innovative engineering teams developing products that have direct impact on customer value
Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, legal ethics).
Exposure to legal document automation, eDiscovery platforms, or contract lifecycle management tools.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $75,000 to $100,00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Litera offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
