Hilco Global provides a range of customized solutions to healthy, stressed, and distressed companies to resolve complex situations and enhance long-term enterprise value. Hilco Global is a diversified financial services, advisory, and capital solutions company with a long-standing reputation for helping clients maximize value, solve complex problems, and navigate critical business moments. Across its platform, Hilco provides a broad range of services and solutions spanning valuation, restructuring, advisory, monetization, transactions, and capital solutions for corporations, lenders, investors, private equity sponsors, boards, and legal counsel.

What differentiates Hilco is the strength and breadth of its platform. The firm is trusted in high-stakes, complex, and often time-sensitive situations where financial, operational, strategic, and legal issues intersect. Hilco brings together deep experience, commercial judgment, and execution capability across the business lifecycle - from healthy companies seeking growth or strategic alternatives to stressed and distressed situations requiring decisive action.

Built on that foundation, Hilco Global is expanding its Global Investigations & Dispute Resolution practice. This growing practice advises clients on matters involving fraud and misconduct investigations, forensic accounting and financial analysis, post-acquisition and other commercial disputes, bribery and corruption matters, asset tracing, investigative due diligence, litigation support, regulatory response, digital forensics and cyber-enabled investigations, e-discovery, and other sensitive situations requiring rigorous analysis, sound judgment, and clear communication.

This is not a standalone niche practice being built in isolation. It is being developed within a powerful platform that already has deep client relationships, strong market credibility, and meaningful adjacency to restructuring, valuation, capital solutions, and other advisory capabilities. For the right professionals, that creates a rare opportunity: the chance to build within an established platform that already matters in the market.

Why Hilco Global

There are many firms that offer investigations, digital forensics, cyber investigations, and e-discovery work. Very few offer the combination of platform strength, market relevance, entrepreneurial upside, and cross-disciplinary opportunity that Hilco does.

Joining Hilco's Global Investigations & Dispute Resolution practice means joining at a time of strong momentum. The practice is being actively built and expanded, with the benefit of Hilco's broader brand, relationships, and capabilities across capital solutions, restructuring, valuation, advisory, and special situations.

For professionals who are ambitious, commercial, and excited by the idea of helping shape a market-facing practice, Hilco offers a differentiated proposition:

·       A powerful platform behind the practice, with meaningful credibility and access across lenders, investors, boards, law firms, and corporate clients

·       A true build opportunity - the chance to help shape a leading global investigations and disputes offering, not simply join a mature team with limited room to influence direction

·       Complex, high-value matters at the intersection of digital evidence, accounting, finance, investigations, disputes, transactions, restructurings, and distressed situations

·       Cross-platform opportunity, with natural adjacency to Hilco's capital solutions, restructuring, valuation, and advisory capabilities

·       Meaningful responsibility and career upside for professionals who combine technical excellence, sound judgment, and initiative

At Hilco, professionals are not joining a static organization. They are joining a platform with real market strength and the ambition to build a premier practice.

Position Overview

As an Associate Director in Hilco Global Investigations & Dispute Resolution practice, you will oversee complex digital forensics and cyber-enabled investigations, manage multiple technical workstreams, and serve as a key leader in both execution and practice development.

The role is focused on digital evidence, cyber-enabled fact development, user and system activity reconstruction, data movement analysis, device and cloud evidence, and investigative findings that help clients and counsel understand what happened, who was involved, when events occurred, and how digital systems or data were used.

This is an especially strong opportunity for professionals who want more than a technical delivery role. It is a chance to join a platform where they can help shape the direction of a growing, market-facing digital forensics and cyber investigations capability.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead large or high-complexity digital forensics and cyber investigations from scoping and preservation through analysis, reporting, and presentation of findings

·       Oversee forensic collections and analyses involving endpoints, mobile devices, email, cloud repositories, collaboration tools, enterprise systems, logs, and other digital evidence sources

·       Direct user-activity reconstruction, data movement and deletion analysis, access-log analysis, communications analysis, and other digital fact-development workstreams

·       Advise clients and counsel on evidence preservation, collection strategy, data scoping, chain of custody, technical limitations, and defensible investigative methodology

·       Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, external counsel, IT, security, HR, compliance, and senior stakeholders on digital evidence issues

·       Review technical workpapers, forensic reports, timelines, exhibits, declarations, and other client-facing deliverables

·       Manage engagement economics, resource planning, technical risk, deadlines, and quality-control considerations

·       Coach and develop Managers, Associates, Analysts, and other team members across active matters

·       Help drive consistency in methodology, defensibility, tool usage, documentation, and execution across the practice

·       Support proposals, pitches, thought leadership, recruiting, training, vendor relationships, and strategic growth initiatives

·       Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and connect digital forensics work with Hilco's broader investigations, disputes, restructuring, valuation, and advisory capabilities where relevant

Desired Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, digital forensics, accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline required; candidates with master's degrees or other advanced technical degrees are strongly encouraged and will be prioritized

·       Approximately 7-10 years of relevant experience in digital forensics, forensic technology, cyber investigations, insider-risk investigations, incident investigation, or related consulting services

·       Significant experience managing complex, multi-workstream digital forensics matters and interacting directly with senior clients and counsel

·       Strong technical grounding in forensic preservation, collection, artifact analysis, chain of custody, user-activity reconstruction, log analysis, and defensible reporting

·       Experience with leading forensic and investigative technologies such as EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, Magnet AXIOM, X-Ways, Nuix, Relativity, Microsoft Purview, Google Vault, CrowdStrike, Splunk, or similar platforms

·       Demonstrated leadership in engagement oversight, team development, client service, and technical quality control

·       Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to translate technical findings into clear business, legal, and investigative conclusions

·       Professional credentials such as EnCE, GCFE, GCFA, GASF, CCE, CFCE, CISA, CISSP, RCA, CEDS, or similar certifications are advantageous

·       Strong judgment and ability to operate effectively in sensitive, high-stakes, deadline-driven matters

·       Willingness to travel based on client and business needs
