Assistant General Counsel, Employment - REMOTE

In this role, you will collaborate with Business Leaders and HR to provide legal guidance on employment matters, significantly influencing the organization’s compliance and employee relations strategies. Your expertise will help shape policies, enhance training programs, and ensure adherence to labor laws across various jurisdictions. As a key member of the Legal Team, you'll play a fundamental role in safeguarding the company while supporting its mission to maintain human connections in commerce.

• Advise on various employment-related legal strategies and services across the organization.
• Oversee and advise on internal investigations and employment litigation.
• Provide guidance on policy decisions and emerging risk areas.
• Participate in the review/update of global employee handbooks and HR policies.
• Stay updated on HR best practices and labor/employment law developments.
• Collaborate with outside counsel as necessary while managing projects independently.
• Support DEI initiatives within the workplace.
• Assist with Legal department related projects.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with colleagues and leadership.

• 10+ years of experience in employment law, preferably in-house and at a law firm.
• JD with admission to a state bar (NY or CA).
• Ability to manage projects independently from start to finish.
• Experience providing strategic advice to management and HR partners.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Some experience with employment litigation and e-discovery.
• Strong business writing and presentation skills.
