We’re hiring an Application Developer – PHP/AWS Specialist to take the lead on three mission-critical healthcare applications that handle sensitive data, connect to billing, shipping, and communication platforms, and demand top-tier security and performance. In this role, you’ll keep systems stable, build out new features, solve complex problems, and ensure compliance with best practices, all while collaborating directly with stakeholders. Job Description

• Maintain and enhance existing healthcare applications written in PHP.
• Manage databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Administer and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, SES, CloudWatch).
• Develop and integrate REST APIs, including third-party APIs (billing, shipping, communications).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Implement and uphold security and compliance standards in line with healthcare and data protection requirements.
• Document processes, code changes, and provide knowledge transfer where required.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while keeping stakeholders updated.

Qualifications

Core Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development.
• Strong database management skills (MySQL and/or PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience managing AWS services: EC2, RDS, S3, SES, CloudWatch.
• Proficiency with Git version control.

Integration & API Development

• Proven experience in REST API development and integration.
• Track record of integrating third-party APIs (billing, shipping, communication platforms).

Compliance & Security

• Solid understanding of secure coding practices and data protection standards.
• Experience working with sensitive data and ensuring system compliance.

Soft Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential for US client interaction).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Self-driven with the ability to manage priorities independently.
• Good documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.
