About the Job you are considering:

We are seeking experienced Apple SME with strong expertise in banking domain who will overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Ownership & Technical Strategy

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for all aspects of the Apple ecosystem (macOS, iOS, iPadOS) across the GAIA programme.
  • Define the future‑state Apple platform architecture, ensuring alignment with Barclays’ enterprise frameworks, regulatory needs, and GAIA objectives.
  • Drive platform capability enhancements, including security hardening, productivity enablement, and operational optimisation.

2. Apple Device Management & Integration

  • Lead the architectural and design authority for:
    • Unified Endpoint Management (UEM/Mobile Device Management) integrations
    • Apple Business Manager (ABM)
    • Zero‑Touch Deployment workflows
    • macOS/iOS configuration baselines
    • Managed App lifecycle and update strategies
  • Ensure seamless interaction between Apple devices and Barclays’ core infrastructure (network, identity, security, collaboration tools).

3. Transformation, Carve‑Out & Migration Delivery

  • Support design and execution of Apple estate separation activities within programme (identity, device fleet, policies, application access).
  • Develop migration frameworks, coexistence strategies, and risk-managed cutover plans.
  • Define data protection, backup, identity, and compliance models during transformation.

4. Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all Apple solutions meet Barclays security, audit, operational risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead engagement with Cyber Security, Technology Controls, and Risk & Governance teams.
  • Champion best practices across device hardening, encryption, DLP, and secure access.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with:
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • End‑User Technology Engineering
    • Security Architecture
    • Program Delivery Teams
    • Third‑party vendors (e.g., JAMF, Apple Enterprise Support)
  • Provide ongoing technical assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Contribute to programme‑level documentation, solution options, and dependency mapping.

Your Skills:

Essential Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Deep, hands‑on experience with Slack Enterprise Grid including:
    • workspace strategy
    • enterprise key management
    • user provisioning/integration
    • DLP, eDiscovery, retention, compliance
  • Strong understanding of Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, IAM, Admin Console, shared drives).
  • Experience designing integration patterns using APIs, event frameworks, and third‑party connectors.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security controls, identity management (SAML/OAuth), and platform governance.

Programme & Architecture Experience

  • Proven track record in large‑scale transformation programmes (ideally in financial services).
  • Experience working on carve‑outs, separation programmes, or platform migrations.
  • Ability to define roadmaps, architectural models, and target-state designs.

Stakeholder & Communication Skills

  • Ability to influence and communicate complex technical topics with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable engaging with CISO, architecture boards, delivery leads, operations, and business functions.

 

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

  • Google Workspace Admin or Technology certifications.
  • Slack Certified Admin or Slack Certified Consultant.
  • Experience with Atlassian, O365, or cross‑collaboration tooling ecosystems.
  • Architectural certifications (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).

Prior experience in a global bank or highly regulated industry
