Nashville, Tennessee Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES Manage global LS program and team of ~7 project managers and discovery engineers Coordinate effectively with eDiscovery review attorneys and attorney managers Develop, implement and refine strategic plans and best practices for providing effective case management services to the firm’s clients; Develop, implement and refine best practices and roles for all phases of LS including planning, budgeting, data management and reporting tools Identify, implement and refine relevant technology and workflow steps to effectively support the Litigation Department and related practice groups involved in data-intensive projects; recommend and advocate for practices and systems that are consistent across offices and in line with the business goals of the firm, LS and eDiscovery strategic plans Manage internal technology infrastructure and provider relationships to support litigation and eDiscovery tasks Interface with outside counsel law firms, clients, and external service providers to streamline data collection/filtering/processing/hosting/producing and maintain master repository of case-related activities and deliverables Maintain appropriate chain of custody and other documentation throughout the lifecycle of matters in accordance with accepted protocols Participate actively in ongoing litigation support operations, including, as needed, data processing, search and analysis, migrations, cataloging, productions, etc. Develop and provide training for case teams on litigation support and eDiscovery tools and technology Monitor and research emerging litigation support and eDiscovery technology tools and processes in accordance with best practices Provide technical and strategic litigation support and eDiscovery guidance to case teams, outside counsel, discovery stakeholders, and cross-functional partners Oversee litigation support technology vendors and tools, and relationships with internal information technology, data security, applications development and other relevant functional groups Manage confidential information with professionalism and unquestionable integrity, and collaborate to ensure proactive and robust data security Communicate, market, and promote the firm’s LS services and products; maintain and support the firm’s market-leading eDiscovery reputation; identify and pursue relevant market opportunities Maintain firm established billable rates and pricing structures Develop and manage annual department budget QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Business, or other technical field preferred 10+ years of experience in a litigation support/forensics role within a corporate, law firm, government agency, or consulting environment with experience leading teams across multiple offices required, including: Experience supervising and leading litigation technology teams Experience with document preservation and collection from common corporate platforms and cloud-based repositories Experience with LS technologies for data processing, analyzing, and review Experience working cross-functionally and communicating technical content to non-technical and non-legal audiences Experience evaluating, contracting, and supervising LS and eDiscovery technology vendors Direct experience with MindsEye/TunnelVision (Reveal), Opus2, Axcelerate, ReadySuite, Concordance, SQL preferred Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
