What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Legal Operations, this position will provide legal support to the Legal Team with specific emphasis on Non-Disclosure Agreements, Legal Review, Litigation, Legal Invoicing, project support and miscellaneous admin support as needed. This role will also collaborate with in-house legal team as well as working and coordinating with other Premier business units and leaders, Premier executives, Premier members, outside counsel, and vendors. This position requires a high level of attention to detail as well as tact and integrity due to the frequency of senior-level internal and external contacts and regular exposure to confidential data. Work is performed under minimal supervision and requires incumbents to exercise independence and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management #1 – 25%
Support Contract Management and Legal Mailbox monitoring including Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality Agreements, BAAs, and Legal Marketing Review, including all requests for review and redlines.
Litigation Support #2 – 25%
Provides support for the Legal Litigation team including conducting searches within Microsoft e-Discovery, analyze search results and prepare for production. Assist attorneys with preparing objections to third part subpoenas, prepare and manage Litigation holds. Assist with due diligence fact-finding related to discovery issues and other matters, including gathering facts and documentation from personnel in other departments, as needed.
Invoicing #3 – 25%
Provide Support for the Legal Team by managing invoice submissions from outside counsel and vendors, reporting, accruals, and tracking, working closely with Finance
Administration & Legal Team Support #4 – 25%
Work on designated projects when assigned by the Director of Legal Operations. Assist with various administrative tasks, including but not limited to Fed Exes, Legal Department mail distribution, file organization, records retention.
Required Qualifications
Work Experience:
Years of Applicable Experience - 2 or more yearsEducation:
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
Skills:
Litigation management and e-Discovery. Including, Litigation Hold management, document review, redactions and preparing documents for production.
Contract review and management (i.e., NDAs, BAAs, and other contracts).
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Competent with Word, Nitro Pro, Excel, Pacer and e-discovery and contract management tools such as DISCO, Microsoft Purview, Open Text, Salesforce, and Workday
Experience:
Mid-sized to large Law Firm with complex business corporate transactional work and/or complex business litigation
In-house Legal Department Mid- to Large Corporation, privately or publicly owned.
Education:
Associate or bachelor’s Degree
Paralegal Certificate
Required Certifications/Licensing
Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) or Paralegal Certificate from ABA approved school.
