Our Legal Project Manager role offers the opportunity to support across the entire global Legal Department of AstraZeneca. You’ll have the chance to lead litigation document discovery efforts, support litigation matters in product liability, patent, employment, support the drafting of our corporate disclosures, and manage a wide variety of special projects aimed at streamlining Legal Department operations. You will also play a key role in managing our litigation costs for each of your matters through strong project management.


Typical Accountabilities:

  • Oversee a variety of litigation, investigations, corporate matters, and special projects, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.

  • Coordinate activities between in-house counsel, external counsel, and the technical eDiscovery team responsible for data collection, processing, and production.

  • Supporting the continuous improvement of workflows and processes, including through driving increased adoption of technology and AI

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Collegial, precise, performance-driven, professional, looking to expand knowledge and responsibilities over time

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Highly organized

  • Proficient with standard digital tools such as the Microsoft Office suite

  • Project management, legal operations, or litigation experience

  • Innovative mindset and tech savvy

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Professional legal qualification (e.g., paralegal certification) or a formal project management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Six Sigma, Lean or Black Belt)

  • Familiarity with Legal digital tools (e.g., Relativity, Nuix, eBilling, legal hold)

  • Litigation or eDiscovery background

  • Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience

  • In-house legal experience

  • US legal experience

  • Contracting experience especially in the pharmaceutical industry
