Job Title – eDiscovery and Archiving Technology – Information Security Specialist

Location – Pune, India

Role Description

We are seeking a talented Information Security Specialist to join the Archiving Technology team to enable us to continue to deliver world class enterprise-level archiving solutions. Working closely with our customers, our existing technology teams and other technology stakeholders, you will be responsible for the information security aspects of one or more of our core products with involvement from the strategy / design stage all the way through into production delivery and assurance.

Information Security is responsible for preventing IT-based crime, hacking, intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction to the organization's information systems and IT assets and intellectual property. The focus of the role is to ensure highly professional and productive procedures, policies and processes are in place and aligned and agreed with relevant stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

  • Identifying and evaluating potential areas of Information Security threat by assessing the probability and impact, and implementing associated mitigations
  • Monitoring and contributing to the implementation of the Information Security strategy
  • Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to Information Security risks
  • Ensuring appropriate procedures, policies and processes are in place, and aligned and agreed with relevant stakeholders
  • Developing appropriate, pragmatic strategies to deliver effective controls and Information Security management objectives and implementation across the bank
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring management focus on the Information Security agenda

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Acting as the T-ISO (Technology Information Security Officer) for multiple applications within the eDiscovery & Archiving Technology portfolio of apps
  • Working with technology teams to understand information security requirements and how to ensure that applications adhere to these
  • Ensuring the recertifications and reviews of applications are carried out in good time and with the right level of oversight
  • Communication of issues or risks in the information security area both upwards from the delivery level but also downwards into the delivery organisation where these are identified by the wider Information Security governance
  • Ensuring that relevant KPIs measuring security compliance are up to date and management aware of any concerns or delays in meeting KPI targets

Experience of managing information security in a large enterprise, ideally within the financial services and/or another highly regulated industry, would be beneficial as would a strong basis in working in an agile environment, delivering into public cloud.

We expect the candidate to work closely with product owners, architects, scrum masters, project managers as well as development teams. Strong communication is required in a cross functional, multi-language and multi-culture team environment spread across several locations.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or strong experience for >5 years.
  • Previous information security experience preferred
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud.
  • Good understanding of modern software development approaches such as agile
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
