Position: Paralegal β Banking/Financial Services Litigation

Direct Counsel is proud to present this outstanding opportunity for a Paralegal specializing in Banking/Financial Services Litigation with one of the nationβs top law firms. This hybrid position offers flexibility with three days in-office and two days remote per week, ideal for professionals looking to engage in challenging, high-profile litigation support work.
This role requires extensive experience in banking, securities, and financial services litigation, ensuring the paralegal can deliver essential support to attorneys on complex matters. Key responsibilities include information preservation, organization, and analysis across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents, proofread and redline.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison with clients, vendors, and legal teams, maintaining professionalism.
- Case Management: Prioritize tasks, manage projects, and meet deadlines to support litigation workflows.
- Litigation Support: Assist attorneys through all litigation stages, including document collection, trial preparation, and court appearances.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research, document analysis, and draft summaries.
- Document Review: Manage and code documents using eDiscovery tools like Relativity, preparing privilege logs and exhibit lists.
- Trial Support: Attend trial proceedings, manage exhibits, and coordinate witnesses.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelorβs degree and paralegal certification, with 5+ years in banking or finance litigation. Trial experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, legal databases, and eDiscovery platforms.
- Professional Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, highly organized, and attentive to detail.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is competitive:
- Washington, D.C.: $88,000 to $117,000
- New York City: $93,000 to $136,000
Actual pay is based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full-time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and additional benefits, including tuition reimbursement, commuter benefits, and paid volunteer days.
