Our client, a national law firm, is seeking a Manager, eDiscovery Services. The Manager will have eight direct reports and will work with personnel in all departments and offices to provide support in handling electronic data related to client projects. The Manager will be responsible for internal and external marketing, training lawyers and paralegals, and understanding pricithe ng of services. The manager monitors the workflow of the eDiscovery Services team. The ideal candidate will possess a mastery of technical and administrative skills, assume responsibility with minimal supervision, exercise initiative and, sound judgment, demonstrate team leadership skills, and practice collaboration with firm employees in all offices. Relativity is a must. This position will report to the Philadelphia office 2-3 days a week.

The Manager of eDiscovery will:
- Work with the Client Value and Innovation Team to review market numbers and historical internal numbers to understand productivity levels and costs to make recommendations for pricing of services
- Continuously improve the performance and organization of the eDiscovery Services team and coordinate the recruitment, orientation, and evaluation process
- Train lawyers and paralegals on the utilization of software and the handling of electronically stored information
- Supervise tracking systems for the productivity of the eDiscovery Services team and temporary reviewers and prepare and distribute productivity reports and workflow projections
- Supervise the development and maintenance of standard procedures and best practices for handling electronically stored information collection, processing, review, and production
- Supervise the negotiation and monitoring of rates for outsourced projects; and assist legal teams in quality control issues
- Work with attorneys and client technology personnel to evaluate the scope of work and make recommendations to the legal team on potential solutions and assist attorneys in developing budgets for projects involving electronically stored information
- Coordinate the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology solutions, investigate new technology solutions for handling electronically stored information, and monitor and evaluate the performance of existing tools
- Act as liaison with Information Services personnel on the installation, testing, and maintenance of software solutions
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a simple and concise manner and well-developed organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and several years of highly technical and progressively responsible litigation support or related experience preferred
- Previous experience working in a law firm or legal environment preferred
- Experience providing eDiscovery services and litigation support on complex and large cases involving complex eDiscovery challenges
- Thorough understanding of the EDRM lifecycle and electronic discovery workflows
- Experience and/or familiarity with enterprise information technology and various forms of electronically stored information (ESI), as well as the data privacy and cross-border impact of data transfers
- Strong working knowledge of Relativity
- Proficient in a wide range of technologies and knowledgeable as to eDiscovery industry “best practices” including an understanding of multiple tools and processes associated with large-scale complex eDiscovery response
- Flexibility to work overtime, as needed
