Litigation Support Specialist, 12 – 8PM Shift- eDiscovery

Our client, a top premier international law firm, is seeking a Litigation Technology Specialist located in their New York office. This role MUST be comfortable working 12-8pm EST or 1-9pm EST five days a week for the next several years. In this role, the Specialist will work closely with project managers, attorneys, paralegals, and other staff and will assist with technical support for all stages of the litigation process. The ideal candidate will be a team player who can work independently and must have good oral and written communication skills. The Specialist should have a good understanding of the full cycle of the EDRM. Viewpoint and trial support experience are a plus. Solid experience with any platform though (Relativity, Ringtail/Nuix, etc) is applicable and acceptable.

Job Description:

  • Works in a team setting and receive direction from project managers, and legal staff on case technology strategy and tasks to be completed
  • Works with attorneys, clients, and vendors to facilitate data exchanges using various forms of media
  • Loads, processes and verifies electronically stored information (ESI) to review platform
  • Builds, configures, and maintains all databases; creates user accounts, sets up security access profiles, creates review layouts, manipulates data, runs productions, performs QC checks, and other database related tasks
  • Provides training and support to legal teams on the use of review platforms and other litigation support software applications
  • Assists legal teams in the review process, by using creating and running database searches and utilizing advanced software features
  • Runs database reports as directed by management and legal teams
  • Facilitates communications between attorneys and e-discovery vendors
  • Provides feedback and status updates to project manager and legal teams
  • Follows and ensures that departmental best practices and policies are adhered to; performs recordkeeping activities using departmental systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field preferred
  • Some experience in litigation technology support
  • Proficient in the use of an e-discovery document review platform (both processing and review) such as Viewpoint (preferred), Relativity, DISCO, Ipro, Concordance, Law, CaseMap, TimeMap, TextMap, LiveNote, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Thorough knowledge of the litigation lifecycle, and familiarity with e-discovery best practices and protocols
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required to resolve complex issues using technology; able to work comfortably with quantitative data analysis, including Excel
  • Able to work in a high pressure environment, and manage multiple priorities
  • Flexible for overtime
