Our client, a global service provider, is in search of a General Manager of Mass Tort Solutions to join their senior leadership team. The General Manager of Mass Tort Solutions will be responsible for the leadership of the operational business activities, strategy, and growth as well as indirect product and infrastructure support (e.g., technology, financial accounting, etc.) of the Mass Tort solutions business segment. This individual will assure that the company maintains operational efficiency in alignment with target financial margins to support long-term profitability and growth. Although the General Manager’s primary responsibilities will encompass the management of the Mass Tort business, the individual’s general business acumen, leadership, business judgment, and management experience will be equally important in the successful execution of the daily responsibilities and the individual’s ability to impact the broader organization positively. A business leader who has broad oversight leading and growing mid-size organizations or business units and functions including P&L responsibility is a must. A candidate with experience in the Mass Tort services or technology services sector is highly preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Senior Leadership – this individual will need to possess a broad set of leadership and management skills that exceed the business operations and administration of the role.  Business judgment and experience regarding operations, business development, client development, human capital and infrastructure/systems development, amongst others, will be expected competencies of the successful candidate.
  • Sales & Marketing – manage and partner with sales and marketing leadership to help develop and support execution of short- and long-term plans to grow clients and revenue in alignment with the bankruptcy solutions services competitive strategy.
  • Relationship Management – responsibility for the retention of clients in alignment with market reputation for client service excellence as well as long-term financial goals.
  • Operations – partnership and oversight for the execution of operational delivery (high quality, excellence, efficiency and accuracy) in alignment with business and client expectations.
  • Product and Marketing – partner with business product and marketing leadership to ensure the alignment of competitive, profitable and on-time product delivery and support.
  • Technology – partner with Technology leadership to ensure the delivery technology solutions and overall service excellence in a manner that meets client expectations.
  • Financial (P/L) – develop and deliver a budget that supports the Mass Tort and overall Operating Revenue and Operating Income targets; partner with Finance Planning & Analysis to discover and maximize business-specific efficiency and profitability gains.
  • Leadership & Culture – ensure the delivery of a world-class team and high-performing work culture that facilitates the delivery of business objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experienced business leader who has broad oversight leading and growing mid-size organizations or business units/functions including P&L responsibility.
  • Experience in the Mass Tort services or technology services sector is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to meet the demands of a challenging business and workforce.
  • Experience managing multiple aspects of business operations, including, client services/relationship management, operations, and back office infrastructure support (e.g., product, technology, etc.).
  • Strategic insight, i.e. anticipating future needs and proactively supporting both organic and inorganic initiatives.
