The eDiscovery Consultant works as a member of Lighthouse’s Information Governance Consulting team and collaborates with clients and internal operational teams to manage and support work associated with helping organizations expand and update their eDiscovery programs.
The eDiscovery Consultant will work in collaboration with and at the direction of Associate Project Manager(s), Project Manager(s), Associate Director(s), and Managers to ensure project requirements are met.
The role contributes to the execution of world-class program development, providing a consultative approach to problem solving, and identifying critical paths to project completion with a focus on helping clients reduce costs, increase agility, and reduce risk.
What will this person do?
- Support the client projects by executing project-specific tasks in Microsoft Purview eDiscovery and Relativity including: data loading, searching and analysis (including term normalization and reporting), providing review support (including the use of TAR/CAL where appropriate), and analytics support
- Gain an understanding of the critical paths needed to progress work through the system, and tools used by Lighthouse to manage workflows and develop client relationships
- Work with clients to understand the full end-to-end lifecycle of eDiscovery from a technical perspective, starting with identification, preservation, collection, processing, and review of data in both Microsoft Purview and Relativity
- Conduct and lead client-facing demonstrations of Microsoft Purview and Relativity and related eDiscovery tools
- As requested, participate in project management tasks including custom reporting, kick-off calls, documentation of workflows and standards, and project closure tasks
- Draft client deliverables, including high-level design documents, workflow diagrams, PowerPoint decks explaining technical concepts
- Participate in process improvement initiatives as identified by Information Governance practice team leaders
- Maintain an understanding of eDiscovery, market competitors and the tools used to support the industry, with a special emphasis on Microsoft Purview
- Maintain and grow knowledge and expertise in how Microsoft Purview, Relativity, and Lighthouse-specific eDiscovery tools can form an ecosystem of technology to support the eDiscovery programs of large, multi-national enterprises

- Combination of at least two of the following education, experience, and/or certifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- Working knowledge of various litigation support and eDiscovery software applications. (Nuix and Relativity, preferred)1-2 years of experience processing data in an e-discovery environment or similar technical work.
- Demonstrated passion for driving process improvement, collaboration, and innovation as part of a cross-functional team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to solve problems and prioritize work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with databases.
- Knowledge of computer forensics and experience with applications such as Encase and FTK preferred
- Must be committed to excellence, a strong sense of urgency, and dedication to client satisfaction and customer service
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
- Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
