Paralegal

We are in search of a diligent Paralegal to become a part of our team in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, located in Redwood City, California. In this role, you will be managing contracts and legal documents, providing administrative support to the legal department, and ensuring compliance with legal processes. You will also be tasked with digitizing legacy records and managing internal coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and organize contracts, legal documents, and records.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the legal department.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure strict adherence to legal processes.
• Execute the digitization of legacy records efficiently.
• Handle file management systems and legal documentation.
• Conduct document review and maintain department records.
• Investigate factual scenarios and conduct document reviews.
• Manage the organization of historical files and legal work such as patent applications.
• Work on-site in Redwood City, ensuring the smooth operation of legal tasks.
• Utilize technical skills with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software and processes.


Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field is required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in the energy/natural resources industry
• Proficient in file management systems and experience in managing department records
• Excellent skills in drafting, reviewing, and understanding legal documentation
• Experience in document review processes and procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgement calls.
