The Relativity Trace Pre-Sales Engineer is the primary technical resource for the Trace Sales team, supporting our prospects throughout the sales cycle.
Responsible for Trace Prospects and technically supporting deals through the deal lifecycle.
You will be the technical point person for Trace prospects through the evaluation period, including but not limited to standard demos, custom demos, requests for information (RFIs), request for purchase (RFPs), and proof of concepts (POCs).  You partner hand in hand with the Sales team to cover all technical aspects of the deal and help close it however possible.
 
Be a technical expert for our prospective customers.
You are or will become a Relativity Trace expert including the underlying Relativity platform. You will help our customers with technical or product questions throughout the pre-sales process and beyond. You are expected to provide customer-facing demos and presentations as part of this process, utilizing existing plans & templates or writing new ones to support you.
 
You can tell the story of Trace in a way that highlights our differentiators.
You can tell a story of surveillance with a workspace that is optimized to highlight the specific functionality we want to show and shows our differentiators in a compelling way. You can perform both a standard demo and develop + do a custom demo to showcase Trace with the prospect’s data or their specific use cases.
 
Become obsessed with the Relativity Trace product and the Relativity platform.
You are or will become a Relativity expert who loves being in the software. You stay on the forefront of what’s being developed and push the platform in creative ways. You have or can develop an expertise in SQL and understand the Relativity architecture. You contribute to standard operating procedures & knowledge, so we and our customers learn from you.
 
You are a user and administrative advocate who provides workflow advice.
You’ve seen surveillance & compliance enough in the field that you know what a good workflow looks like. As we develop new technology, you make sure the user and administrative experience is at the top of our minds, providing input throughout. You share your knowledge with the Operations team so other Pre-Sales Engineers and Trace Specialists learn from your experience.
 
You are comfortable with uncertainty.
Our product roadmap changes quickly with feedback from our customers and the market. We’re also growing and implementing new processes as a team. You should be comfortable working in an environment of constant change and should also be able to work confidently with a certain level of ambiguity.  If you need an answer to something, you’ll take the initiative to find an answer and share the details with your colleagues.
 
You are a team player that brings positive energy.
We are a small team that is trying to build something big. Everyone on the team is expected to stretch to do what is needed. You bring energy and fun to the room, virtual or physical.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred, not required: 3+ years of experience using Relativity OR 3+ years experience implementing/using surveillance (or similar) software with highly regulated customers
  • Great interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and delight your customers
  • Effective teamwork & communication skills – similar to above, your colleagues see you as a team player who they enjoy working with and can communicate with easily
  • Some technical background and you are eager to get into configuring production software
  • Able to understand a customer’s technical issues and communicate issues and feedback with development and product teams
  • Proven experience putting together standard processes used successfully by others
  • Experience building dashboards with key metrics
  • Bonus if you have deep hands-on Relativity experience, including SQL backend (PowerShell scripts are an extra bonus)
