You can join us in the following team: Forensic Investigative Analytics In an increasingly digitised world, instances of fraud and electronic crime are becoming more and more common. Forensic Data Analytics involves the analysis of data in order to discover meaningful patterns, measure historic events or predict the likelihood of future ones. Much of our work requires us to analyse vast quantities of electronic data, using cutting edge technology and advanced statistical techniques to extract meaningful insights for our worldwide clients. As we operate in an environment where speed of response is often critical to our clients, we are constantly innovating and drawing on the very latest technologies. What you’ll do You will work alongside industry-recognised specialists in computer forensics, electronic discovery, information governance and disclosure. Much of our work centres on the analysis of large volumes of electronic data. And because we operate in an environment where speed of response is often critical to our clients, you’ll be constantly innovating and drawing on the very latest technologies. Our engagements frequently involve us working in cross-border teams alongside regulators, legal advisers and across other parts of our wider business – providing opportunities for international travel too (subject to government advice/guidelines). What you’ll gain When you join the Forensic Technology team you’ll receive training in a wide range of technical and non-technical skills. This can include data manipulation techniques, machine learning, big data technologies, programming and advanced data visualisation training and certifications. We’ll also encourage you to attend in-depth training led by our technology partners based on your individual development needs. Join us and you’ll get to work alongside leading professionals in fields such as Big Data, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning and Data Visualisation. You could be looking for hidden patterns within the global payments of a bank accused of money laundering, searching for evidence of fraud and abuse within a company’s finance system or helping to identify illegal activity within millions of transactions. You may also be researching new tools and technologies and developing new propositions to take to our clients. As a valued member of the team you will gain exposure to a wide variety of analytical techniques, providing you with a solid foundation for your career in data analytics. What you’ll need If you are naturally inquisitive, have an analytical mind and enjoy solving problems, we would be interested in talking to you. Candidates should also be prepared to travel as some of our opportunities can require team members to work at other PwC offices or client sites across the UK or overseas on a temporary basis. You’ll need to have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in a STEM related degree (Science/Technology/Engineering/Maths) and demonstrate a passion for a career in technology and how organisations use it. We determine whether you’re on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study. Our work is technical and successful candidates should be able to evidence experience in one or more of the following competency areas: Emerging technologies (e.g. Contract Lifecycle Management, RPA, Machine Learning, Blockchain). Data analysis (for example using SQL/Python). Data visualisation. Programming or scripting experience. When to apply Once you have submitted your application you’ll have seven days to complete the online test, this is the first stage of our recruitment process. Assessment centres for this role will take place between 18 December 2023 – 28 January 2024 or 19 February – 4 March 2024. We expect to be able to give you at least a week’s notice to attend. If successful, you will be invited to a final round interview, which will take place from 5 February 2024 or 12 March 2024, depending on the date you attended your Assessment Centre.
