We are looking for a paralegal/law clerk who has considerable experience and knowledge in document production and management of electronically stored information (ESI) in the context of dispute resolution and discovery.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to help us better define a process/standard for collecting, managing, and reviewing large volumes of ESI, and to identify and evaluate how AI can assist us in improving our efficiency and quality.

 

Here's how an eDiscovery Manager contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Assists lawyers and other professionals throughout the company (Canada and the United States) in all aspects of document production and management of electronically stored information (ESI), including collection, preservation, processing, review, analysis, and production.
  • Develops and implements best practices and protocols for document production and ESI, in compliance with the applicable rules and standards.
  • Conducts quality control and quality assurance checks on document production and ESI, and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Reviews and evaluates different AI tools and solutions that can assist in creating efficiencies to document production and ESI, such as e-discovery platforms and document analysis software
  • Provides training and guidance to lawyers and other professionals on document production and ESI, and on the use and benefits of using AI technology to create efficiencies.

What you will bring to the role:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in paralegal studies, law, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of rules of civil procedure in Canada and US. 
  • At least five years of experience as a paralegal/law clerk or related field, preferably in a dispute resolution or discovery setting.
  • Proficient in document production and ESI, and familiar with the relevant rules and standards.
  • Skilled in using various software and platforms for document production and management of ESI, such as Reveal, EverLaw, Relativity or Concordance.
  • Knowledgeable and curious about AI and its applications in the legal field.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
