Nichols Kaster, PLLP, a plaintiff-side civil litigation firm that fights for employee justice, seeks a full-time Paralegal/Legal Assistant for its Employee Rights team in its Minneapolis, MN office.

All workers have certain rights and many of those rights are federally protected, while others are governed by state or local statues. The Employee Rights team fights nationwide on behalf of employees that have been subjected to workplace violations of federal and state laws, including discrimination, harassment, reasonable workplace accommodations, retaliation, the right to take protected leave, and other employment law violations.
The Paralegal/Legal Assistant position will provide organizational and practice specific assistance to attorneys. It requires professionalism, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and work in an organized and efficient manner.

Requirements
- Formal paralegal training from an ABA accredited program, a two-year or four-year degree program (preferred but not required)
- Ability to prioritize and execute numerous tasks under tight time constraints
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Team player and positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in high pressure, time sensitive situations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and client service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a litigation paralegal (preferred but not required)
- Experience with electronic court and administrative agency filing platforms (preferred but not required)
- Experience using an eDiscovery review platform such as Relativity to create searches, filters, and tags, and identify and redact privileged information (preferred but not required)
- Functional understanding and application of court rules and procedures (preferred but not required)
- Ability to conduct legal research utilizing online tools such as Westlaw (preferred but not required)
