KLDiscovery, a leading global provider of electronic discovery, information governance and data recovery services, is currently seeking an eDiscovery Analyst.
The position requires a wide array of technical competencies including in-depth mathematical analysis and reasoning in order. This eDiscovery Specialist position will be part of the Search team and will apply concepts from education and experience to perform complex programming and statistical analysis, including writing and running SQL code and formatting keywords using applied mathematical concepts. In addition to these technical competencies, this position will work with multiple business functions to ensure that projects are adequately handled, tracked, and responded to in an efficient and accurate manner to meet client needs and business quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Complex SQL manipulations requiring T-SQL scripting and reporting generation by way of creating and generating reports and custom applications within SSRS
- Keyword syntax normalization for use within DT Search and Lucene based search engines
- Utilize expertise in statistical and mathematical analysis in complex eDiscovery Operational issues and use information from analysis to make recommendations related to solving the problems and appropriate methods to drive resolution for the business.
- Ensure that processing requirements are met as determined by both the customer, project manager(s), and operations management.
- Assist in developing, documenting, and refining necessary procedures to accomplish discovery process requirements.
- Business problem-solving skills and judgment necessary to analyze, troubleshoot, and problem-solve issues and provide proposed solutions.
- Execution of multi-level keyword and metadata searches within sophisticated proprietary and third-party document review platforms and eDiscovery processing systems.
- Review of search results including statistical analysis of term hits, identification of problematic terms and resolution of search errors.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with direct management, team, internal and external clients.
- QC/QA of finished work product.
- Upload finished work product to client facing databases or client direct.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects with similar deadlines.
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Qualifications

- Litigation Support Application Experience (Digital Reef, Nuix, LAW, Concordance, Summation, Relativity, Clearwell, IPRO, etc.)
- General understanding of (Robo/Rich) copy tools, BAT (PowerShell) scripting, and Active Directory
- Experience with scripting or database languages (SAP/SAS/SQL, VB, Access)
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 6 years of experience or Master’s Degree in related field with at least 2 years of experience in eDiscovery Operations and Analysis
- Advanced education and/or experience in statistical or mathematical analysis
- Proficient in the use of Text Editor Applications, MS Excel and like Office productivity applications
- Must be experienced with designing and maintaining complex spreadsheets for querying
- Working knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, and Mac operating systems
- Demonstrated ability to provide customer service and support to internal and external contacts
- All employees are required to satisfactorily complete a background check
- Preferred experience trouble shooting applications and communicating results to support teams
- Preferred experience in the litigation support industry vendor/law firm
