Summary
Perform a variety of duties to support loan operations; coordinate work within the department as well with other departments; interacting with and communicating information to credit management, commercial banking staff, accounting department, and loan review; complying with operating policies and procedures established for loan operations.
Essential Functions
- Compare Loan Committee approved terms and conditions for new, renewed or modified extensions of credit (amount, maturity, interest rate, payment schedule, etc.) to prepared documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to loan booking and funding.
- Thorough understanding of entities and the legal structure of all debtors.
- Mitigating credit risk through proper review of consumer, commercial, real estate, Construction, and Lot loan related loan documentation.
- Coordinate with lending staff to get loans reviewed and booked in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Conduct all activities related to funding disbursements and perfecting all applicable security interests.
- Review participation loan documents to include the participation agreement, closing documents, disbursement, and contact information of participated Bank.
- Reviews and ensures loan files contain documents with proper signatures, approvals, legal description, dates, and other relevant data prior to funding.
- Effectively communicate with loan officers, personal bankers, analysts, attorneys, and management to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all documents.
- Carries out responsibilities with professionalism and respect for others and within the Bank's policy; as well to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Banking Regulations.
- Review of Title Commitments and UCC's to ensure proper lien status.
- Use of core and LOS systems for the verification of credit integrity and collateral perfection.
- Leveraging the use of the bank's LOS for expedited review process.
- Ensuring appropriate tracking of all related covenants and exception-related items.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, Skills
- 3+ years of experience in the banking/financial industry, preferably in Loan/Credit Operations.
- Knowledge of the banking industry, loan products and services and, in particular, of the bank's loan policy manual.
- Knowledge of and experience of Banking, Federal, and State Regulations.
- Knowledge of SBA Loan Requirements, Documentation, Compliance/Regulations.
- Knowledge of attorney prepared and recording documents.
- Knowledge of collateral perfection and UCC filing requirements.
- Knowledge of Title Company documents to include closing statements.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs, Adobe, and browser-based applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
