Responsibilities/Duties
- Compile, prepare, and summarize relevant materials for attorneys to use in discovery and in the preparation of motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Summarize depositions, transcripts, and maintain case files.
- Conduct basic legal research and ensure the organization of document discovery, including management of materials received and produced.
- Track exhibits and materials at depositions and trials and prepare exhibit cross-references.
- Assist attorneys in the courtroom and review documents for relevance and privilege as per established guidelines.
- Compile documents for various requests such as FOIA, Congressional inquiries, and production requests.
Requirements
- US Citizenship
- Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization
- A Paralegal Certificate, at least three years’ experience in a legal environment.
- Proficiency with various computer applications, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets is necessary.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources
