About the job

We are seeking several Project Attorneys to join our Litigation practice in our Raleigh office. The Project Attorney Team works closely with our litigators, arbitrators, antitrust litigators and other legal support team members to provide streamlined and efficient eDiscovery support and document review and production.

Candidates will be managed by Freshfields eDiscovery team who will provide mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.

Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We require strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, flexibility and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

  • First and Second Level Document Review
  • Privilege review and redactions
  • Assist with preparation and review of privilege logs
  • Prepare witness prep binders and materials
  • Supervise contract attorneys as needed
  • Create and oversee QC processes

Key requirements

  • Must have at least 3+ years of complex eDiscovery experience working for a mid-to-large law firm and/or an eDiscovery provider
  • Must have a JD and active bar licensure in North Carolina
  • Must have a sophisticated understanding of eDiscovery processes and experience supporting large, multijurisdictional, complex cases
  • Must have an understanding of privilege and work product issues, including the applicable rules and caselaw governing privilege disputes
  • Must have advanced proficiency with Relativity
  • Experience with analytic products such as TAR, Relativity Analytics and Brainspace is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, written and oral communication skills
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and some weekends
  • Foreign language skills are a plus
