Our innovative and growing team works with clients to help improve the performance of their legal and compliance function and deliver transformation initiatives. The EY Legal Operations team is focused on helping clients improve how they operate their legal and compliance function. Many client professional lawyers are never trained on the business operations side of Law and rely on teams like our cross-discipline Legal Operations team to bring best-in-class ideas and execution experience. Nearly all our projects are carried out in a teaming environment at client sites. Our Legal Operations team is dedicated to helping companies assess the complexities of delivering value and managing risk in their corporate legal and compliance functions through the improvement of people, process, and technology. Team members serve as business advisors and assist clients in transforming their legal processes and technology from analysis phase right through to full implementation.

Responsibilities
Major areas where the group provides assistance include:
- Operating Strategy and Organization Design – assisting clients improvement opportunities and developing responsive and robust organization operating models and metrics.
- Process and Controls Enhancement – designing effective and controlled processes with enabling technologies to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Effective use of technology – assisting clients in leveraging technologies they already have to improve processes, controls and data management (e.g., Case Management, Matter Management/ eBilling, CLM, IP, eDiscovery/Legal Hold, Document Management Records Management)
- Legal technology assessment and implementation – assisting clients in evaluating, selecting and implementing technologies that will bring faster and more efficient contracting (e.g., Legal Tracker, DocuSign, Agiloft, Sirion, iManage, Onit, HighQ, etc.).
- Applying knowledge of emerging technologies – assisting clients with opportunities to leverage GenAI, RPA, AI, Self Service workflows, etc. to drive efficiencies and overall cost reduction across the legal and compliance function.
- Overseeing the provision of Legal Managed Services including Contract Lifecycle Management, Corporate Secretarial services and Research and Regulatory Mapping.
Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements and prepare documentation of processes, required functionality, implementation approach, and testing scenarios
- Analyze functional requirements and business processes
- Implementing processes and/or systems per client requirements
- Interacting and communicating with clients as needed
- Provide project management support to team and client leads
- Manage client and internal team expectations through proactive communication and engagement
- Provide regional project management and coordination for Legal Managed Services projects
To qualify, candidates must have:
- Bachelor's degree and approximately 6 years of related work experience; or Master's degree/JD and approximately 4 years of related work experience (preferred); Legal Operations, Information Systems, Business, Analytics, Finance, Accounting or Legal Studies (undergraduate)/JD (graduate) fields of study preferred
- Valid PMP, CIPP/E, CIPPM, MBA, or law degree
- Demonstrated ability to identify and address client needs, develop client relationships and define resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection
- Experience within a corporate legal department or vendor is also valuable.
- Excellent managerial, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
- Relevant experience in Contract Lifecycle Management and various CLM tools
- Relevant experience in one or more of the following: a) legal department operations and/or strategy; b) legal and compliance process design and controls; c) change management; d) legal and emerging technologies; and/or e) legal pricing, data and analytics; f) Legal Managed Services; g) Law Firm Operations; h) Legal Function Consulting
